About IA Collaborative
IA Collaborative’s mission is to provide an environment for interior architecture students at the University of Tennessee to benefit from professional development and an exchange of knowledge and support.
IA Collaborative will act as an extension of each student cohort to build community and support among them. We will seek to provide resources to members as well as the outside community to make a positive impact in the design community.
The IA Collaborative: IIDA+ASID Student Chapter at UTK is comprised of student members of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and/or the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID); therefore, we support the missions and visions of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

We are proud to announce IA Collaborative was selected for the IIDA Campus center Award 2025. This award recognizes an IIDA campus center through the development of superior programming that enhances the interior design profession at the student and local level.
Through our efforts with special Spaces and being able to design one of kind bedrooms for kids with cancer, we are proud to be able to use interior design to help out or community in knoxville.
