“You have been hired by the owners of a bakery/internet café to design a signature light fixture for over their bakery counter. They currently own 3 regional bakeries, and they are embarking on a rebranding effort to expand their business to other regions. The design of the light fixture is part of their rebranding effort. The light fixture needs to be functional as well as a signature element. It should be unique, and not something you would typically see in everyday retail. The architecture is up to you. The ceiling is 10’ high.

Take into consideration the quality of light, energy use, and maintenance of the fixture. The lighting should make the baked goods look good and provide a high level of light for the counter transaction area. How does the light fixture meet the requirements of the program and express the personality of the company? Identify all major components and materials of the fixture. Document the fixture as instructed under the Competition Rules.”

    Application Due: March 27th
